I am Gretchen

Although I began my professional photography journey in 2020, I’ve been picking up cameras for most of my life. As a child, I was always the friend or cousin orchestrating photo shoots, letting my imagination run wild with creativity. I feel incredibly grateful that something that once began as play has grown into such a meaningful career for me.

My philosophy

Saudade-a deep beautiful longing

I have a deep passion for creating art and documenting moments in a way that feels honest, collaborative, emotional, and lasting. There’s a Portuguese word, saudade, that loosely translates to a deep, beautiful longing: a bittersweet awareness that we experience this life only once, in this exact way, with these exact people. That feeling is at the heart of what I hope to capture: imagery that feels artful, meaningful, and deeply alive.
